Beach and Vogue update

I haven't updated the blog in ages!! What a bad blogger i am...

There hasn't been much to post though to be honest because i've been really busy at College with my exams, which are now all over (Thankfully).

Me and Angel are doing the GSD show this Saturday which i'm looking foward to, it's been a while since we last done Agility! The last show we done was the Agility Festival at the beginning of May.

I Must mention how i can't wait to be able to start Vogue's training... Only 10 weeks to go! I hope those 10 weeks hurry up!! I think she is going to be very keen, she won't shut up while watching it haha! I'm not sure if she is going to be a Medium, she is 9 and a half months old tomorrow. I roughly measured her and she is just under 17" so it looks like she might be a Medium!!!

Yesterday evening i took the dogs down the beach and decided i would take some photo's to update the blog with.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jazz !!

Jazz is 2 today :)... I always think she is much older then her age though because she's so quiet and well behaved (most of the time lol).

But you know how the saying goes 'The terrible two's'... But to be honest Jazz is a little Angel to have around, you could easily forget she's in the house. Unlike a certain other collie i know going by the name of VOGUE haha, you deffiantly can't forget shes around !!

Jazz has a had a successful year in Obedience this year :) and im going to continue her obedience training... And im hoping to start training her back in Agility soon.

Jersey Agility Festival 2009

Well my favourite show of the year has been and gone...

I had entered Jazz in it but unfortunately because we couldn't get enough training in time (Due to her confidence issues) she couldn't run. But she did have 3 runs in 'Anysize' which she enjoyed :) !!

Angel was a good girl as usual, i know she isn't fast but she does try which is all i can ask :)... She got lots of clear rounds and a few placing's which was nice. She had 4 runs a day but she does struggle to actually run 4...

We got into the final which was great !! I didn'r run her at all on the day of the final, so that she could run at her best in the final.

I was very pleased with her final run. Unfortunately we got a refusal right near the end !! I called her too early (Trying to get a tight turn) Grr silly handler !!

I've decided Angel's only going to do a few shows now and instead of 4 runs a day she will only be doing 2 because i don't want to totally retire her but she can't cope with all the runs. So its only fair she takes it easy =].. She's only 6 but i think she thinks shes about 9 bless her (With her grey hair) !!

Jazz's Obedience Wins !!

Last Sunday GSD held an Obedience compeition. I entered Jazz & Angel into Novice, Angel hasn't done any Obedience for ages so i wasn't expecting her to do very well (She proved me right lol). She broke her down stay by standing up and growling at someone who walked in the door - Bad Dog !! Luckly she didn't disturb Jazz... But she done a nice retrieve and recall, So i was pleased with her :] !!

Jazz was a completer star (again)... She done a lovely round of heelwork and her recall was lovely. Her retrieve wasn't as good, but thats just something i need to work on.

Angel didn't get placed but Jazz came... 1st !! What a clever girly she is :].

She has been making me very proud in the last couple of weeks.

Crufts 2009

I am over the moon... Jazz won the Starters Obedience at Crufts 2009 !! I was extremely nervous before going in the ring. We were number 7 but our running order was 21 (So 3rd from the end). It was nice being closer to the end because it gave me the oppurunity to watch some of the others before it was my turn, but then it was bad because it was making me even more nervous !!

Jazz was such a good girl :]... She was nervous when we first brought her in, which is to be expected as it is 'Crufts'. As most people know Jazz can be very nervy at times, so i was really worried about how she was goig to cope.

Outside the ring she was nervous but as soon as she got in the ring she got her working head on and enjoyed her Obedience round and so did i :).

There were some fab collies in our class which i thought were hard to beat but we done it !! She got a totally clear round (No points taken off anything) She done perfect heelowrk and a lovely recall :) She was the only dog to get a clear out of 23 dogs (And i think she was the youngest)... Im on VERY proud dog owner !!

The good Citizen display went really well too... Angel wasn't bothered by anything at Crufts, but this is her 4th time that she has been. It was a nice epxerience and i really enjoyed Crufts 2009.

I must just add the Agility was absolutely FAB !! I watched some gorgeous Collie's... Which i wanted to take home with me lol !!

Off To Crufts Tomorrow !!

Its been a while since i last updated my blog...

Tomorrow evening im off to Birmingham for Crufts =) I can't wait! I've been looking foward to it for a long time now, and the time has finally arrived.

To be honest i haven't done much Obedience training with Jazz in preperation, she's not the kind of dog that enjoy's being trained a lot (Fingers crossed we pull it all off on the day)... Were as Angel has been very busy training with the rest of the Channel Island team.

Vogue went off to a friends house this afternoon (She's to busy playing with the other dogs to miss me lol) And Angel & Jazz went on the boat this evening - There out at sea as i type this! (Not a nice thought) Im already missing them :(.

Snow snow snow & Vogue 16weeks

Yipee! We have snow =)... Jersey finally has snow! I really wanted it to stick (so i wouldn't have college) but oh well it didn't quite happen lol. But at least it snowed, it got quick thick at times espeically in the garden.

So i took the oppurtunity to take some photo's of the dogs (And of Vogue now 16 weeks)
